Michael Keeman

Hello There!

I’m Michael - an engineer, psychologist, innovator, and occasional tech philosopher. I’m the kind of person who’s equally comfortable in the code as I am discussing the psychology behind innovation. Over the last 15 years, I’ve found myself at the intersection of tech, product, and science, with a mission to make the world just a little bit better through innovation.

Innovation is not just about technology; it’aposs about making the world a better place, one idea at a time.

The Journey So Far

I didn’t set out to be your typical engineer. My career started with a fascination for how things work, not just on a technical level but on a human one. That’s probably why I’ve always gravitated towards projects that blend technology with real human impact—projects that make people’s lives better, not just easier.

Take, for instance, my work in sports science R&D. I led tech innovations that supported Olympic athletes—creating Electronic Health Records systems that were battle-tested at Sochi 2014, Rio 2016, and PyeongChang 2018. My PhD in Data Science for Sports fueled this journey, but it was not just academic - I helped develop mobile diagnostic labs that brought hospital-grade care to remote areas and built AI prediction for Sudden Cardiac Death among running athletes. These weren’t just tech projects; they were about enhancing human performance on the world’s biggest stage.

My journey then led me to tech products and software management, where I built state-of-the-art products that impacted over 50 million users across Europe, the US, and the Middle East. Whether it was leading digital transformation for nationwide platforms or co-founding early-stage startups, my focus has always been on pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and making tech that truly matters.

Every breakthrough starts with a question: How can we create something that makes the world better? That’s what drives me, every single day.

What Drives Me

I’m driven by the belief that technology should serve a purpose beyond the screen. It should solve real problems, create meaningful experiences, and most importantly, it should make a positive impact on the world. That’s why every project I take on starts with one core question: What can we create that makes things better?

It’s not always glamorous, but it’s always rewarding. Building great products takes great effort, it’s tough, and often feels like eating nails mixed with broken glass. But it’s worth all the challenges, isn’t it? I believe in staying ahead of the curve, in experimenting with new tech and frameworks, and in embracing change, even when it’s uncomfortable.

Beyond the Work

When I’m not knee-deep in tech strategy or product development, you’ll probably find me podcasting, where I dive into the intersections of technology, psychology, and the human experience. My podcast, Beyond with Mike Keeman, isn’t just about tech—it’s about the people behind the tech and the ideas that shape our world. It’s my way of pushing the conversation forward, one episode at a time.

So, whether you’re here to explore collaboration, learn from my experiences, or just curious about what’s next, welcome. Let’s go beyond the surface and build something extraordinary together.
